During its 20 years of existence, Nemetschek Bulgaria went through a number of transformations. The most pivotal one happened in 2002 when our company started working independently with minor shareholders Nemetschek AG and DocuWare AG. In October 2019, time has come for another change – with the acquisition of DocuWare, Japanese imaging and electronics giants Ricoh became shareholders in Nemetschek Bulgaria.
Everyone expected the news since the beginning of summer – on July 2 Ricoh announced that they had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the document management provider. It was a significant and strategic investment which already back then felt more like an exciting new partnership.
Now that the wait is over, DocuWare state they will operate as an independent subsidiary, with its staff, brand, product, website and technical support system remaining fully functional and untouched.
“Ricoh’s expertise in this digital transformation combined with DocuWare’s leadership in the cloud, powerful preconfigured solutions and brand appeal to the SMB market ensure that together we are poised to realize our goals to positively impact all modern business no matter how big or how small,” said DocuWare Group presidents Dr. Michael Berger & Max Ertl.
“For us, this is no mere juncture but a crucial investment move. And another recognition of Nemetschek Bulgaria as it is has mostly been our experts that have been developing DocuWare since 1998,” stated Nemetschek Bulgaria founder and General Manager George Brashnarov. “We expect our partnership with Ricoh would give us the opportunity of participating in even bigger international projects. This will help us expand our team as well.”
DocuWare is indeed an important project for Nemetschek Bulgaria – our company has been working on it for 2 decades now, with more than 60 professionals dedicated to its development and support. And indeed, there has never been a better time to trust DocuWare and see how it can transform your teamwork.
